The Snakes & Ladders of Mental Health

A day in a life of depression.

Is it Stress or Anxiety

Dealing with stress?

Winning YOUR day!

Resilience - A Journey!

Begin with the END in mind -Creating your vision.

If You Don't Change, Nothing Changes

Well-being - how to?

When I worked in the corporate sector I was suffering from mental health problems, namely depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. The amount of willpower I needed to sum up to make it to work some days was so exhausting, other days I just text or left a voice message that I would be out sick.

It took me 21 years to tell anyone about my problems. When going through these problems you don't want anyone to know but yet you want someone to notice you.

A setting like a retreat can be a great way to allow people more freedom to explore their relationships with colleagues, which in turn may open someone up to talking and make others more aware of those around them.

In today's modern and fast paced world we often forget the inidividual, be it family, friends or colleagues.

You probably can see when your team are stressed and over worked which causes then to lose a little sparkevery time they push themselves too far on a particular project, or work that extra couple of hours they shouldn't just to get something completed.

All work and no play will make any team frzzled and their overall well-being will suffer as a result and that is something that is no benefit to anyone.

Neil is well placed to bring you the best practices in relation to well-being. He combines a vast amount of knowledge in the areas of physical and mental health with his personal experiences while also introducing creative elements he has learned through acting and Improvisation.

Seminars, Workshops & Well-being Weeks

We are all about creating sustainable well-being. So all our areas of work start with your company in mind and how we can connect with your teams to create an environment where they can create habits in order to continue this new learning. We run once-off seminars, a series of workshops, organise company wellness/well-being weeks as well as a range of talks and public speaking.

We have focused on areas such as mental health, stress management, resilience, exercise, nutrition and other lifestyle choices.

For further information please do not hesitate to contact us and we will get back to you within 48 hours.

Mentoring

Neil works with mentees in order to empower them to set themselves up to win the day, week, month and year.

I never thought I would say this, but my depression and anxiety changed my life for the better. I now work my passion, I have fun everyday, I enjoy more family time. I run my day instead my day running me. I did this at 36 years of age.

So many of us do not know what we want. Do you know what you want? No, what youu really want from this life? Are you in your dream job? Is your personal life where you want it to be? Are you enjoying your life?

I had to change my whole life. My depression and anxiety were strangling me. To deal with this I had to firstly STOP, stop all the busyness, then I had to take ACTION to change. As we know 'if you don't change, NOTHING changes'!

It is is up to you to make the change. I am here to guide you, to get to the root cause of your problems and then bring you towards your true path.

Neil works not only with people looking to manage their mental health problems effectively but those looking to find a new direction in their career or their personal life an ultimately create a better work-life balance.

More and more people want to change but fear sets in and stops them in their tracks. The fear of change, the fear of losing an income, the fear of paying bills, the fear of a family, the fear of being too old. Do one of those relate to you?

Areas focused on:

- career and personal life mentoring

- mental health problems

- people dealing with mental health problems

- friends / family / colleague seeking guidance

- how to deal with family / friend.

  • I met with Neil back when I was little bit lost. We began working on setting goals, my personal strengths and finding my inspiration. Neil said to me on our first meeting "you must have fun every single day", this comment has stuck with me,which I do tom this day. He built the confidence, prepared me for public speaking and making my business a reality. Today I still pick three things to get done every week, which has helped ease my anxiety and stress.

Coaching

20 years of working with individuals, teams and groups in all aspects of fitness

I'm going to be honest with you here. I, personally, am not mad about the gym setting. I just never could get into it. Instead I prefer to workout outside, in a studio or at home.

I worked with many individuals in a personal training capacity and the main point I want to get across here is that for me personal training (PT) is PERSONAL before it is training. What I mean by this is, PT is not about me, it is about you and bringing you where you want to go. When we train one-to-one we have to connect and have some trust, otherwise it isn't going to work. You have to feel comfortable in the setting and working with me and my  techniques and strategies, cause at the end of the day, it your body and you know best what you can or can't do.

I work with clients on fatloss, fitness, strength and conditioning, event preperation, wedding prep.

My goal is to train you to a level so that you don't need me anymore. So you will have reached yor goals but also now have the tools to maintain all your hard work.

It is time to make that change and do it for you. Contact me now and let's get started

Yes I'm a trainer, yes I've done a Sports Degree, yes I love sports but I still find it very difficult at times to motivate myself to get going.

I motivate and have been told I inspire my clients to change but at times I find it so hard to do the same. It frustrates me no end.

I need to train for my physical health but exercise plays a veyr important part in my mental health. It is one of the tools I use in order to effectively manage my mental health problems.

I know if I go 3 days or more with some form of exercise my anxiety will kick in, followed closely by a bout of depression.

Why is a trainer important? Well because I keep you accountable and have ways and means I can motivate you to train when it is the last thing you want to do.

Don't put it off any longer, your mental health is as important as your physical health but the great thing is with exercise you can kill two birds with the one stone.
